This publication, created by Ipas and the Center for Reproductive Rights, is designed to help individuals and groups consider the potential impact of abortion regulations and offer tools to help assess legal risk when supporting access to self-managed abortion. It provides a brief background on medication and self-managed abortion, as well as related human rights obligations. It also includes two templates for understanding and assessing risk. The tool can be completed online or in person and can be incorporated into other risk- and security-assessment practices.
