Mario Martín Pecheny

Dr. Mario Pecheny is Vice President of Scientific Affairs for Argentina’s National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and a professor and researcher at the University of Buenos Aires. He publishes extensively on gender, health, sexuality and reproductive rights. He has served as a technical consultant on health, human rights, monitoring and evaluation to many governmental and nongovernmental agencies, including UNAIDS, the Ford Foundation, and the Global Fund to Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Dr. Pecheny also has been a visiting scholar at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and other universities around the world.
