Susmita Das has more than 25 years of health program management experience across global, regional, and national roles. She has 17 years at senior management level with organizations including Nutrition International, International Planned Parenthood Federation, Johns Hopkins University, EngenderHealth and FHI360—and brings expertise in sexual and reproductive health and rights, nutrition, child health, adolescent health, women’s empowerment and gender equality.
Das has extensive experience in leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams, managing large-scale complex programs, resource mobilization, leveraging multi-stakeholder partnerships, advocating for gender and human rights, and providing technical assistance to governments. She combines strategic vision with operational excellence to drive impactful change. Her work has spanned several countries in Asia and Africa. She holds a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (as a Gates Scholar) and a Masters in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics.Â
