Dr. JE Musoba Kitui is a public health expert with two decades of experience driving impactful programs across Africa and the world. As a visionary and transformative leader, he’s devoted his career to promoting health equity, developing resilient health systems, and fostering leadership cultures grounded in inclusion, transparency, and accountability within the public health and the social justice space.
Early in his career, Dr. Kitui gained invaluable experience working within Kenya’s government health systems at district and provincial levels, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities of grassroots health-care delivery.
Prior to joining Ipas Africa Alliance in 2025, Dr. Kitui was the Global Transformation of Business Support Lead at Oxfam International, where he had earlier served as Oxfam’s Kenya Country Director. He has also held leadership positions in various international NGOs, including Medicines Sans Frontières (Kenya), Christian Aid, and IMA World Health (South Sudan).
He holds a bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery (MBChB) from the University of Nairobi (Kenya), a master of public health from the University of Nottingham (UK) and is currently pursuing an MSc in health economics and policy at the University of Nairobi.
