Diana Moreno is a feminist lawyer, researcher and human rights advocate with more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of sexual and reproductive rights, international law, advocacy and social movement building. Â
Moreno’s leadership is grounded in a commitment to collective action, feminist principles and the belief that lasting change is built through dialogue, alliances and shared power. She describes her professional purpose as working toward a more just and caring world.Â
Her experience in regional advocacy, movement building and human rights law positions her to help Ipas Latin America and the Caribbean deepen partnerships, strengthen community participation and support bold, locally led strategies that expand reproductive freedom.Â
Before joining Ipas in January 2026, Moreno served as advocacy director at Profamilia Colombia, where she led strategies to strengthen sexual and reproductive rights in law, policy and practice. Her work has included advocacy on abortion, transgender health, human trafficking, the rights of people with disabilities, and the reproductive rights of Afro-descendant and Indigenous communities. She has also worked with the Center for Reproductive Rights, Elementa ConsultorÃa en Derechos S.A.S, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, Women’s Link Worldwide and the Sylvia Rivera Law Project.Â
She has also been a researcher and professor at Universidad Javeriana, focusing on gender, human rights and armed conflict. She holds a law degree from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and a Master of Laws degree from Columbia University in the United States.
