Sosthène Dougrou

Director, Ipas Francophone Africa


Dr. Sosthène Dougrou is the director for Ipas Francophone Africa. He has over 20 years of experience supporting public health programs in reproductive health and rights and humanitarian interventions and diplomacy.

He has held technical, national, regional and global leadership positions with the International Fédération of Red and Cross and Red Crescents Societies in Switzerland; Pharmaciens Sans Frontières in Kyrgyzstan and Mauritania; the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid in the Central African Republic; the French Development Agency in Togo; and most recently, for the United Nations Fund for Population (UNFPA) based in Senegal.

Dougrou holds a PhD in medicine from Faculte de Medecine d’Abidjan and a master’s degree in public health from Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium.
