Rubina Sohail, MD

Dr. Rubina Sohail is a professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at the Services Institute of Medical Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan, and a champion of sexual and reproductive health and rights, including abortion. She is immediate past president of the South Asian Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has also served on the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) committee on sexual and reproductive health and rights. She is currently chair of FIGO’s subcommittee on violence against women. Dr. Sohail has been widely published, including in the International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, The Lancet, and the Bulletin of the American College of Surgeons. She received her MBBS in obstetrics and gynaecology from the Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan.
