Louise Winstanly

Louise Winstanly is co-chair of the Non-Biomedical Research Institutional Review Board of the University of North Carolina (UNC) and an adjunct assistant professor in the UNC Department of Social Medicine. She is past chair of the IntraHealth International Board of Directors, and currently serves on the UNC Hospital Ethics Committee, the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health Advisory Committee, and North Carolina’s Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute’s Clinical and Community Research Ethics Core. A native of South Africa, she earned a business law degree from London Guildhall University in the United Kingdom and holds a master’s degree in bioethics from Union Graduate College/Mt. Sinai School of Medicine.
