John Stanback

John Stanback, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at FHI360 and an ardent supporter of abortion rights locally and globally. With 30 years of experience in international family planning and reproductive health research and policy, he is recognized as a thought leader and expert in the field. Dr. Stanback has conducted research in nearly 20 countries and continues to conduct policy work and research in Francophone Africa. He also serves as an advisor to the World Health Organization and USAID and is an adjunct professor in the Department of Maternal and Child Health at UNC-Chapel Hill.
