John Stanback, PhD, is retired from his position as Senior Scientist at FHI360 and is an ardent supporter of abortion rights locally and globally. With 30 years of experience in international family planning and reproductive health research and policy, he is recognized as a thought leader and expert in the field. Dr. Stanback has conducted research in nearly 20 countries. He also served as an advisor to the World Health Organization and USAID and is an adjunct professor in the Department of Maternal and Child Health at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.Â
