Ipas supports the September 28 Campaign to Decriminalize Abortion
Ipas has long supported the Campaña 28 de Septiembre por la Despenalización del Aborto en América Latina y el Caribe (the September 28 Campaign for the Decriminalization of Abortion in Latin America and the Caribbean), and we are passionate about the global movement to ensure access to safe and legal abortion.
This year we are pleased to take part in the Global Day of Action for Access to Safe and Legal Abortion, a collaborative effort let by the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights, the International Campaign for Women’s Right to Safe Abortion and the Campaña 28 de Septiembre.
Join the Twitter Chat
Please join Ipas and our partners in raising awareness about the harmful impact of illegal and unsafe abortion. At noon (GMT – 04:00) on September 28, Ipas will host a chat on Twitter (follow @IpasOrg) with other reproductive rights organizations. This chat will be part of a day-long global “tweetathon” sponsored by the Asia Safe Abortion Partnership (@asapasia).
Ipas’s chat will be conducted in English and in Spanish, and moderated by @IpasOrg, @IpasLatina and @IpasYouth. The campaign hashtags are #Sept28, #September28, #safeabortion and #safeabortionnow.
