Friday, July 2, 2010

This report demonstrates the results of a study conducted by Ipas Nigeria and the Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria in 2009. The purpose of the research was to to evaluate the introduction of misoprostol for the treatment of incomplete and missed abortion into existing postabortion care (PAC services) in three tertiary hospitals. The primary objectives of the study were to understand health facilities and provider needs; document the experiences and perceptions of health-care providers regarding the use of misoprostol; and explore the experiences, acceptability, and satisfaction with the misoprostol treatment among women.
