Health. Access. Rights.

I invite you to join me in celebrating Ipas's 40th anniversary and our new logo and tagline, designed to reflect the energy and spirit of innovation for which Ipas is known.

In the 40 years since Ipas was created, our comprehensive and innovative efforts have improved women's health, increased women's access to safe abortion care, and protected women's rights to make their own reproductive decisions and thus shape their own futures.

Today, Ipas's mission is as vital as ever. We strive to enhance every woman's ability to obtain comprehensive abortion care and to prevent unwanted pregnancy. By training health-care providers, engaging community and youth groups, advocating for supportive laws and policies, and conducting rigorous research, we continue to advance our mission throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

We are proud of the work we've done and the impact we've made, working in collaboration with health ministries, the medical and human rights communities, women's organizations, and others. The collective efforts of Ipas and many partners have resulted in a worldwide reduction in abortion-related deaths and injuries.

Much more remains to be done, however. We must unite around a global movement to expand women's access to contraception and safe abortion--a movement that includes policy reform at all levels, the elimination of stigma, and an end to gender inequality and sexual violence.

With your compassion, your commitment and your partnership with Ipas, we will act together to make an even greater difference in the lives of women all over the world.
