Donna Ruscavage, MSW, is Regional Director for the United States and Europe. Ms. Ruscavage has more than 25 years of experience in the public-health and social-service fields. She has developed programs in women’s health; HIV and mental health; and leveraging research to improve public-health effectiveness domestically and internationally. Ms. Ruscavage has worked extensively in the women’s health field, conducting the first national survey on Catholic women and abortion; directing a counseling department at a comprehensive women’s health clinic; and working as a pregnancy and abortion counselor at Planned Parenthood. She has provided marketing, training and technical assistance activities for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Prevention Information Network. She also developed and conducted HIV prevention trainings for the uniformed services in Eastern Europe, Africa (Ghana and South Africa) and Cambodia in collaboration with the United Nations. Ms. Ruscavage holds a master’s degree in social work administration and has published on women’s health, HIV and sexually transmitted infections in the lay and scientific press.
