At intermission we'll screen "Tigist," an eight-minute film clip that follows one 17-year-old's journey to safe abortion care. "Tigist" was created from Ipas's documentary film, "Not Yet Rain," which shows how access to comprehensive, safe options to terminate and prevent unintended pregnancies is saving women's lives in Ethiopia, where unsafe abortion is the second leading cause of death for women. Maya sang on the film soundtrack.
