Based on data from facility questionnaires, clinical observations and client exit interviews, this report assesses in detail the quality and accessibility of emergency postabortion-care services provided at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital (MMSH), the largest public-sector hospital in Kano state, Nigeria. The report reveals that, overall, women are highly satisfied with the care they receive at MMSH, while also suggesting specific areas for service-delivery improvement, such as patient waiting time, pain-management practices, infection-prevention protocol and practices, postabortion family-planning services and provider-patient interactions.
