As part of its year-long 30th anniversary celebration, Ipas is pleased to honor some of the many individuals and organizations whose dedication and hard work have meant so much to the global effort to save women's lives from unsafe abortion.
Nominated by Ipas staff, board members, colleagues and friends, the people and groups selected as Ipas Champions of Reproductive Health include health-care providers, researchers, trainers, advocates, donors and others from every region of the world. They are courageous visionaries who work - often in very challenging conditions - to improve the lives of the world's most vulnerable women, girls and families.
"So much remains to be done to ensure that all women can safely exercise their sexual and reproductive rights," said Ipas President Elizabeth Maguire.
"Brave, compassionate people all over the world and in a wide range of fields are working toward that goal. Ipas gratefully applauds their work, on behalf of women everywhere."
