Man charged with threat to abortion doctor in Boulder, Colorado

A 70-year-old man from Spokane, Wash., has been indicted on charges he made a threatening phone call to a doctor who performs abortions in Colorado.

Donald Hertz was charged this week under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, The Denver Post reported Thursday.

Dr. Warren Hern of Boulder said he got a call June 23, three weeks after Dr. Gregory Tiller of Kansas City was killed, saying two Vietnam veterans from Utah were coming to Colorado to hurt him and his family. Hern, like Tiller, performs late-term abortions.
