Ipas has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to protecting personal information we receive from you when you visit our website. Please be aware that this statement applies only to information we collect online from visitors to our website. The information we receive and collect differs depending upon what you do when you visit our website.

If you visit our website and simply browse, without sending an e-mail or submitting an online donation:

Our web host collects and stores general information such as the name and domain of the host from which you access the internet (e.g. aol.com); the date and time you access our site; and the portions of our site you visited. The information collected by our web host, which does not include any information from which Ipas could identify an individual or the individual’s computer, is available to Ipas through a website that only Ipas can access. Ipas uses this information to measure the number of visitors to our site and to help us make the site more useful. The web host for Ipas does not make this information available to anyone but Ipas. Other than persons who provide web hosting or design services to us, we do not share this information with or sell this information to any third party.
If you visit our website and choose to send us an e-mail (other than through the secure online donation process discussed below):

We will attempt to use the information you send us, including whatever personal information about you is included in your message, for the purpose of making an appropriate response to your e-mail. If you request particular publications, we will use the information as necessary to comply with your request. If you indicate that you would like to be contacted, we will use the information supplied to contact you.

If you request to receive periodic information from Ipas concerning programs and activities, or contact Ipas to request support through the mail or online, we will place your name and postal and/or e-mail address onto the list we maintain of persons who request to receive such information. Ipas adheres to a strict opt-in policy regarding user information. We only place your information on a list if you request, and we will immediately take your information off of any list if you request.

With the exception of web hosts or designers, we do not share information about visitors to our website with any third party. We do not partner or have special relationships with any ad server companies.
If you choose to make an online donation to Ipas through the website:

We have entered into a contract with Verisign, Inc. to provide a secure online connection to allow you to transmit credit card information for your online donation. After you prepare and submit the initial page of the online donation form, your browser will be immediately transferred to the secure Verisign website. At that point, Verisign will be responsible for the security of the financial information, such as credit card information, you provide. Please review Verisign’s privacy policy for additional information concerning the privacy of your information and the security measures Verisign employs.

After you make your online donation through Verisign, Verisign then provides information about you and your donation to us. However, Verisign does not give us any information about your credit card. Rather, the only information we receive from Verisign is your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and the amount of your donation. We use this information to send you an acknowledgement of your gift, and to keep records regarding our donors for administrative and tax purposes. We also publish in various print publications, but not online, lists of Ipas’s donors. We will include the names of online donors on this list unless you indicate that you prefer to remain anonymous.

If you indicate that your company has a matching gift program and provide the required form, we will use that information to process the matching gift from your company, to update our donor list, to send an acknowledgement to the company, and to include the company’s name on published lists of Ipas’s donors (unless we are notified that the company would prefer to remain anonymous). We will not initiate any further contact with the company unless you or the company requests that we do so.

If you indicate that you would like to receive updates about our programs, we will place your name and postal and/or e-mail address onto the list we maintain of persons who are to receive such information. Ipas adheres to a strict opt-in policy regarding user information. We only place this information on a list if you request, and we will immediately take your name and other information off of any list if you request.

If you indicate that you would like to be contacted, we will use the information provided to contact you as requested.

In addition to the above, please be aware that Ipas will disclose information, including personally identifying information, in the event it is required to do so by law.

We reserve the right to make changes to our privacy policy. We will publish the revised policy on our website before implementing any changes. In the event of any change to our privacy policy, we will use information already collected in accordance with the privacy policy in force at the time the information was provided or collected.
